Years ago a mentor of mine asked me... "Scott what makes you pound the table?". I have pondered over this question many times and I finally came to the conclusion that I should leave the corporate world to start my own business. Thus my journey to free myself began in 2009. Early in the same year a friend of mine who had owned his own business for over 25 years, called to recruit me into a network marketing business he recently joined. He planned on retiring with a residual income in excess of $40,000 each month by 2010. I turned him down knowing that I was following my "right" path (and thinking he was slightly off his rocker). So during 2009 I faithfully trudged through the daily throes of business building. That is until I received a call from my "crazy friend" just 2 weeks before the year came to an end. What he said caught me by surprise... "Scott I did it! My residual income has grown enough to free me from the daily grind. What about you?". 

Thus starts my 2010 one year commitment. This year I will gain independence through that tricky little word called "RESIDUAL" income. No, I will not be joining my friend's business  but come this time 2011 I, like my friend will not be going back to the grind.

Staying true to my passions, I have choosen to build residual income through an amazing fitness business. This blog will chronicle my journey for becoming healthy and wealthy over the next 12 months.  

Details are to follow in subsequent postings. All I ask from you is to read this blog and blog back to keep me on my toes through this 12 month adventure.
