Day 5 - P90X - Legs & Back / Ab Ripper X

Over the years I have seen many people who have "under developed" legs. WHY?
Because leg workouts HURT. Legs after-all are the largest muscle group. There are more fiber types in your quads and glutes then anywhere else on the body. But there are also more connective tissues thus your legs tend to also be more "inflexible" or tight. So not only working with weights hurts but so does stretching.
But there is good news. You get SOOOO much more when you perform a good leg workout than any other. There are several hormones that are released during a good leg workout that are not released during any other exercise. So the point. WORKOUT THOSE LEGS!
And the verdict with P90X? It did not fail the test! Instead my legs failed me, in exhaustion! Yes indeed. I suppose that is because I did not hit the pause button. But my wife does tell me that I am a hard head. I will say however from a technical standpoint I can see that this workout seems to be more built towards cutting than it is muscle building. So if I hope to add some extra lean muscle I will need to cut the reps down slightly and add a little more weight while keeping the same basic format.
Not a lot of luck on the business building today but we were able to send out a couple of promotional videos to a few interested parties.
We start our Vita-Mix demonstration on Friday so this will put a slight damper on the workouts but there may be a good uptake in our customer / business partner search.
Tomorrows workout is Kenpo X.
No matter what program if have, please start it. Your health is the most important thing to take care of.
