Day 13 - P90X - Kenpo X - Week 2 / New Health Tip

Hello readers,
Today's Kenpo X workout was great. I am discovering I am a little more uncoordinated than I used to be in my youth! No worries however. Your hand / eye coordination can be improved just like your muscular system. Next week starting Monday I will be hosting my first two public workouts. The workouts scheduled happen to bring out my un-coordination the most! Yoga X and Kenpo X. Guess I am a glutton for punishment. None-the-less, it is going to be fun. Two people have signed up for the workout so far! have You?? Join if you can. I hope to build a large group of like-minded people!
Oh, I almost forgot. I am officially launching the start of my daily health tips. Read below for today's "Tip of the Day" and come back daily for new Tips.
Today's business prospecting was good. I gave a DVD to a man named Chuck and I spoke with two other people about BeachBody Products. We gave our business cards to about 15 people and I made changes to our blog site in order to make posting and reading new comments easier.
And lastly, we attended a webinar tonight!
TIP OF THE DAY
I am asked all the time how can I quickly lose weight? Well let's face it, there are no secrets to healthy weight loss. Deep down we all realize that there are two key factors to becoming healthy. We need to eat correctly and we need to workout our bodies. But the problem remains that most people are not prepared to do these two steps. There are always life "roadblocks and excuses" that haunt our lives. But the fact is that we all have the same 24 hours in each day. It is a matter of priority. Decide now, "what is important to you"? We believe that your health needs to become your #1 priority.
When people ask me what can I do to lose weight I happily start to tell them. But it rarely fails that I hear these words. "I have no time, no time, no time". So here is one of my elevator (30 second) speech that I give these hurried people.
- Decide to make a change for the better and Commit to a program!
- Write down your expected health goals and post in a visible place.
- Find an accountability partner and share your goals with them.
- When you go to the grocery store only shop on the outside perimeter of the store. On the outside perimeter you will find things such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy products, soy products, meats (beef, chicken, fish) and etc. These are the things your body needs. There is nothing on the inner isles that your body needs. NOTHING!
- Avoid the top "Bad" foods
1. Pork, high fat luncheon meats, ham, pepperoni, hot dogs , bacon and sausage meat
2. Shell Fish: oysters, scallops, clams, crab, and lobster. They are scavengers and feed off the bottom of the ocean. Also contain high levels of Mercury
3. Aspartame: nutrasweet, equal etc
4. Hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated oils or lard
5. Junk Food: snack cakes, candy, cola, fast food, pizza etc.
6. Caffeine: 1 tidbit - according to the British Medical Journal, just 5 cups per day will increase a man's risk of heart disease by 50%
7. Dairy products: 60% of the allergies affecting people in the country are contributed to the consumption of dairy products.
8. Chlorine in Water. Either use a filter or become a filter!
9. Alcohol: Just 1 oz of alcohol reduces the body’s ability to burn fat by 1/3.
6. And finally, start the above steps. And if you do, the next few weeks will be the start of a brand new you!
And yes I can say all of this in about a 30 second long winded speech! ![]()
