Day 20 - P90X - Kenpo X / Tip Of The Day

We have been blessed with yet another sunny day here in Southern Florida. We worked-out to Kenpo X and it was awesome! We had 4 people who RSVP yes and we had a “Kick Butt” time. (literally)
As I type this message I can't help but wonder who wants to become healthy before the summer comes around. Health is inside of all of us. Unlocking good health may seem confusing or difficult at times but be assured it is there, deep inside of you (or maybe just on the surface)!
There are many things that can keep good health locked away.
· Like, most of us realize that we should eat well but we sometimes our busy lives do not allow for a sit down healthy meal.
· Also, most of us know that we should be performing some type of a workout. No, we do not need a gym as there are many options. i.e. Go to the great outdoors, volunteer at a local farm or Habitat for Humanity, play with your kids or pets or purchase an in-home program from us.
o Whatever workout you choose, just make sure to take that first step and remember the "Journey of a 1000 miles begins with your first step”.
· But keeping a positive outlook on life is an often overlooked win/win scenario and this can often times mean the difference in being healthy or allowing disease to overcome or overrun your body.
There are many ways to keeping a positive outlook and we will be discussing as many as possible in future postings. For now it is enough to say to:
- Drop all negative thoughts (the moment they arrive in your mind) just as you would drop a hot potato
- Meditate daily - Learn to get calm and reflective during all times
- Speak positive affirmations daily - Your mind/spirit and the universe will bring to you that which you speak and believe you already have
- Set goals and speak these goals to life daily
- Always live in this present moment - The past does not exist, neither does the future - Only this moment exist, live it and live it with awareness and purpose.
Each one of these have deeper implications and as such we will be posting deeper messages over the next few months to help you achieve a better you!
Tip Of The Day
Sunshine
· Small amounts of sun exposure are good. (Keeps SAD away) - about 15 to 30 minutes daily
· Sunshine helps with the absorption of vitamin D.
· Most vitamin D is absorbed through the eyes.
· Vitamin D helps with digestion, mood alterations, bone / mineral absorption and hormone balancing
