The need to jump higher is as old as the hills themselves and today more than ever sports enthusiast around the world are looking for ways to improve their jump heights!
So is the old saying true? "White men can't jump?"
Not if they are using Plyometrics as their training platform!
"Plyometrics are drills designed to connect strength with speed to produce power. Also known as "Jump training," this technique emerged in Eastern Europe in the early 1970's. Coined by American track coach Fred Wilt, the term derives from the Latin plyo+metrics, or "measurable increases." Plyo metric training relates to any activity that requires speed and strength, as it improves your ability to run faster, jump higher, and maneuver in multi directional sports. if your game involves a court, field, track, mat. pool, ring, rink or mountain, Plyometrics can help." - Excerpt from P90X Workbook
I have included below what I consider to be the 2 top programs in the market place to help your game. Hopefully this will help you decide which may be the best workouts to improve your jump height.
I hope this helps!
