Warning - Sudden Death May Occur

Would you eat food if it came with any of the following side effects: "rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; joint pain; purple or brownish red spots on the skin); behavior changes (eg, aggression, hostility); blurred vision or other vision problems; chest pain; confusion; dark urine; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; hallucinations; mental or mood changes (eg, agitation, anxiety, depression, irritability, persistent crying, unusual sadness); one-sided weakness; seizures; severe or persistent dizziness or headache; shortness of breath; slurred speech; suicidal thoughts or attempts; uncontrolled speech or muscle movements; yellowing of the eyes or skin"
Probably not, in fact if there were such a food that caused even a few of these symptoms then I can guarantee you it would be pulled off of the shelves. Salmonella tainted spinach is the best example of this. Yet this list is exactly what many Americans give their children every single day in the form of Ritalin.
Sadly it does not stop there. In fact we now know that pharmaceutical iatrogenic errors result in over 90,000 deaths every single year and account for yet another 1.7 million adverse injuries and other minor or major side effects. (not the point of this blog but noteworthy none-the-less is that this is allowed because of the profit driven society we live in - perhaps another day I will speak to this.)
How do we avoid this? STAY AWAY FROM DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS.
You do this by keeping your body fit and healthy. Eat well, workout and avoid the toxic things in life!
This is not a sure fired answer and there are no 100% answers to keep you out of harms way but it is well known that you can keep yourself healthy and fit if you set your mind to it. And if you do, then perhaps just maybe you can avoid the clause "sudden death may occur" - Let's stop the madness, get off the drugs and change our lives!
By the way here is a partial listing of Ritalin side effects.
Dizziness; headache; loss of appetite; nausea; nervousness; stomach pain; trouble sleeping.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Ritalin LA Extended-Release Capsules:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; joint pain; purple or brownish red spots on the skin); behavior changes (eg, aggression, hostility); blurred vision or other vision problems; chest pain; confusion; dark urine; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; hallucinations; mental or mood changes (eg, agitation, anxiety, depression, irritability, persistent crying, unusual sadness); one-sided weakness; seizures; severe or persistent dizziness or headache; shortness of breath; slurred speech; suicidal thoughts or attempts; uncontrolled speech or muscle movements; yellowing of the eyes or skin.
Ritalin Side Effects - for the Professional
Nervousness and insomnia are the most common adverse reactions but are usually controlled by reducing dosage and omitting the drug in the afternoon or evening. Other reactions include hypersensitivity (including skin rash, urticaria, fever, arthralgia, exfoliative dermatitis, erythema multiforme with histopathological findings of necrotizing vasculitis, and thrombocytopenic purpura); anorexia; nausea; dizziness; palpitations; headache; dyskinesia; drowsiness; blood pressure and pulse changes, both up and down; tachycardia; angina; cardiac arrhythmia; abdominal pain; weight loss during prolonged therapy. There have been rare reports of Tourette’s syndrome. Toxic psychosis has been reported. Although a definite causal relationship has not been established, the following have been reported in patients taking this drug: instances of abnormal liver function, ranging from transaminase elevation to hepatic coma; isolated cases of cerebral arteritis and/or occlusion; leukopenia and/or anemia; transient depressed mood; aggressive behavior; a few instances of scalp hair loss. Very rare reports of neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) have been received, and, in most of these, patients were concurrently receiving therapies associated with NMS.
