Stress Avoidance

Stress, something that is avoidable in today's hectic lifestyle but something that if could be avoided would drastically increase your body's ability to fight off disease and help us live happier healthier lives.
· Stress depletes water soluble vitamins
· Stress Causes premature aging
· Stress Causes cellular breakdown (disease) and taps into energy stores
· Stress Causes a build-up of cortisol, which is a catabolic agent. Meaning it is a carcinogen and it eats away at living tissue
· Stress causes training plateaus
So besides moving to a Buddhist Monastery and becoming Buda what are we to do?
It would not hurt to try and become one with our surroundings in everyday life as taught in the book - Where Ever You Go There You Are, learn how to drop things like a Hot Potato as the Sedona Method teaches, always live in this present moment as taught by Eckhart Tolle or even learn to identify the "going overboard" signs as taught by Cesar Millan.
Following any one of these educators proven points would greatly improve your ability to handle the incoming stressors that are thrown at you daily. But if you can't find their teachings then here are a few good ideas:
Don’t: over react to situations - Don't over extend your schedule - Don't eat while watching TV - Don't discuss stressful issues while eating.
Create an action plan to ID your hot buttons and get rid of them - Get rid of as many things that cause you stress as you can - Start meditating daily and Start deep breathing exercises (we are a nation of shallow breather so start breathing deeply) - start working out, working out releasing health and growth hormones that will help combat stress related cortisol - Create a meal plan that includes more fresh fruits and vegetables - Start reading self help books everyday (recommended reading The Power Of Now, Where Ever You Go There You Are, The Sedona Method, anything by Wayne Dyer and read a couple of Cesar Millan’s books (yes they apply to us) )
You can't avoid stress! But, you can learn to rid it from your body, mind and spirit if you take the time to do so.
Learning to always Live In This Present Moment and learning to Drop any "issue" that comes your way like a hot potato will help you become a new you in no time!
