Sunshine - Get Super Charged!

The Man of Steel from Krypton used the power of the sun to super charge his body and so can you.
Think the sun is bad? Think again! from the dawn of time the sun has been worshipped by almost every society because the Sun brings life to Earth. But even the Mayan’s, Egyptians, Aztecs and modern scientists realized that the sun is a double edged sword and can be the kiss of life or death. It depends on the way we use it.
For human and Kryptonian bodies the most import feature of the sun is how our body handles it. Like the son of Krypton, your body uses the sun as a "re-charge" system. There are many beneficial attributes but the creation of Vitamin D is the most important. Under the action of solar rays, your skin synthesizes vitamin D. This makes it possible for your body to absorb calcium. This prevents osteoporosis.
It is also known that multiple compounds use vitamin D to help your body to fight disease. And research shows that Sunshine and Vitamin D impedes the development of some cancer cells. Thus regular and controlled exposure to the sun has a preventive effect against cancer of colon, breast, leukemia, lymphomas and other cancer types.
Moderate exposure to the sun brightens the skin and generates a healthy look and increased elasticity.
Other attributes include:
1. Sunlight kills microbes and mold. Place a strawberry in your refrigerator and place one outside in the sun. You will quickly see that the one outside does not develop any mold. Yet the one in the refrigerator will be covered in mold in just a few days. That's why it is important to put out in the sun home items that cannot be washed regularly.
2. Sunlight improves our mood and fights off SAD. Sunlight helps in cases of chronic or acute depression, by stimulating the synthesis of endorphins (good-feeling hormones). Lack of sunshine in the winter time is why most people become depressed in the cold and dark days of the winter.
3. Sunlight is good against insomnia. Daytime exposure to sunlight increases the melatonin production during the night. This hormone helps regulate the sleep.
4. Sunlight strengthens the cardiovascular system. Blood circulation is improved, the pulse, arterial pressure, moderately high glycemia and cholesterol levels can be normalized.
5. Sunlight helps to improve liver functioning, being effective in treating jaundice.
6. Sunlight helps the kidneys with a part of their job, as sun waves favor the elimination of waste products through the skin, when we sweat.
7. Sunlight also helps losing weight by increasing the metabolic rate through the stimulation of the thyroid.
8. Sunlight eases symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.
9. Sunlight ease the swelling of joints during peaks of inflammation in cases of arthritis.
Have you ever had random spots on your body that felt like you were being poked with a pin or perhaps random areas that were very itchy? This is likely due to a low level of Vitamin D. Checking for low Vitamin D levels is very easy for your doctor. If you are low. Then get out in the sun.
You don't need much, just about 10 to 15 minutes a day will do the trick. For some people they will start to see improvements in overall functioning within a few days or weeks but other it will take a full 6 months to totally recharge your internal batteries. But if you stick with it, then you will definitely feel like Superman in no time at all!
Now there is no substitute like the sun but we can also derive Vitamin D from some of the following food sources:
- Cod Liver Oil
- Deep Sea Fish like; mackerel, herring, salmon and sardines
- Fresh water fish like; trout and catfish
We hope this helps and our wish is that you break away from your dungeons and go out into the great outdoors and breathe some fresh air and get some sunshine!
Your body, mind and spirit will appreciate it!
Yours in health,
