Ahh cardio. The bane of existence for many and the awesome endorphin high for others! We all love it but hate it at the same time. But there is no doubt that if applied properly cardio is very good for your body and your mind! There is good news however. It used to be that cardio had to be long and tedious. But modern day training and technology ensures that there is a very large array of cardio exercises that you can do. We now know that just 20 minutes at a time under sprint interval conditions can reduce fat by over 300% This type of training is called HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training. Think of it this way. Run / swim / bike / dance / roller blade / aerobic workouts and etc. at a brisk rate (after a proper warm up of course) for about 60 seconds then sprint for about 30 to 60 seconds. Back off and repeat this sequence for as long as you can. No more than 20 minutes is normally needed. The above is not the 100% science but that is the basic jist of HIIT training. Programs like Insanity and Turbo Fire will give you the intense fat reductions you are looking because of this fact. HIIT is harder but well worth the efforts!
